يترأس وزير الخارجية سامح شكرى الوفد الرسمى المصرى الذى يتوجه إلى العاصمة التنزانية دار السلام اليوم الأربعاء، بمشاركة الدكتور عاصم الجزار وزير الإسكان والمرافق والمجتمعات العمرانية، لحضور احتفالية تدشين ملء بحيرة سد “جوليوس نيريرى” الذي يُنفذه التحالف المصري لشركتي المقاولون العرب والسويدى إليكتريك على نهر روفيجى بدولة تنزانيا.
وصرح السفير أحمد أبو زيد، المتحدث الرسمي باسم وزارة الخارجية، بأن وزير الخارجية سوف يشارك يوم غد الخميس في احتفال تدشين ملء بحيرة سد “جوليوس نيريري” في حضور عدد كبير من المسئولين وممثلي التحالف المُنفذ للمشروع ورموز المجتمع التنزاني ووسائل الإعلام والمواطنين، حيث سيتم غلق بوابة نفق التحويل للإعلان عن بدء ملئ المياه في السد.
وأضاف السفير أبو زيد أنه من المقرر أن تشارك رئيسة جمهورية تنزانيا الاتحادية “سامية حسن” في الاحتفالية، نظراً لما يمثله المشروع من أهمية كبيرة للشعب التنزاني لتوليد الطاقة والسيطرة على فيضان نهر روفيجى، بالإضافة إلى تنظيم استدامة التدفقات المائية اللازمة لزراعة المناطق المحيطة به وممارسة أنشطة الصيد النهري.
يشار إلى أن مشروع سد “جوليوس نيريري” يُعد من أهم المشروعات التنموية التي يتم تنفيذها في القارة الأفريقية بتكلفة 3 مليار دولار، ويعد تجسيداً لقدرات وإمكانات الشركات المصرية في تنفيذ مشروعات البنية التحتية الكبرى في عدد من الدول الأفريقية، ونموذجاً يحتذى به للتعاون الإقليمي البناء بين الدول الإفريقية الشقيقة لدعم جهود التنمية وتحقيق مصالح شعوبها
