حصد فريق طلابي من كلية الحاسبات والمعلومات على المركز الأول فى مجال التغييرات المناخية على مستوى الجامعات المصرية فى الأولمبياد السادس لقطاع علوم الحاسب والمعلوماتية، بمشروع ” Air Pollution Detecting with IOT System”، التى أقيمت يوم الاثنين والثلاثاء 14/ 15 يوليو 2024، تحت عنوان “صنع في مصر: توظيف التكنولوجيا المتطورة لخدمة أهداف التنمية المستدامة”، بجامعة الدلتا للعلوم و التكنولوجيا و جامعة دمياط تحت رعاية الدكتور محمد أيمن عاشور وزير التعليم العالى والبحث العلمي والدكتور حمدان ربيع رئيس جامعة دمياط و الدكتور يحيى المشد- رئيس جامعة الدلتا للعلوم والتكنولوجيا.
هنأ الدكتور محمود ذكى رئيس جامعة طنطا الفريق الطلابي الفائز وهم الطالب عبدالرحمن على الجمل، والطالب حازم سامح جودة، والطالب عبدالعزيز أحمد الذهبى، مؤكداً أن الجامعة تولى اهتماما كبيراً بطلابها وتعمل بشكل دائم على تدريبهم وتحفيزهم على المشاركة في المسابقات المحلية والدولية، مثمناً دور الدكتور نانسى عباس الحفناوى القائم بعمل عميد الكلية و الدكتورة الشيماء حمدى إسماعيل – المدرس بقسم تكنولوجيا المعلومات بالكلية فى رعاية الفريق والاشراف عليهم طوال فترة إقامة الاولمبياد.
من جانبه أشاد الدكتور محمد حسين نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون التعليم والطلاب بفكرة المشروع الطلابي فى مجال التغييرات المناخية، مشيداً بجهود الطلاب طوال فقرة المسابقة مؤكدا حرص الجامعة على تطوير العملية التعليمية وتوفير كافة أشكال الدعم للطلاب لاعداد خريجين مؤهلين لسوق العمل المحلي والدولي، وقادرين على المشاركة في بناء المجتمع.
أضافت الدكتورة نانسى الحفناوى أن الأولمبياد شهدت حضور عدد من رؤساء الجامعات المصرية و أعضاء لجنة قطاع علوم الحاسبات و المعلوماتية و عمداء كليات الحاسبات و الذكاء الاصطناعي بالجامعات الحكومية و الخاصة، كما شارك الحضور كوكبة من أساتذة الحاسبات من مختلف كليات الحاسبات و الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتنافس في المسابقة 82 فريقاً من كليات الحاسبات والذكاء الاصطناعي، يمثلون 36 جامعة ومعهداً، و قام بتحكيم المسابقة نخبة من أساتذة علوم الحاسبات من 15 جامعة حكومية وخاصة و عربية.
During their participation in the Sixth Olympiad for the Computing and Informatics Sector:
A Team of “Tanta Computer Science” Students Wins First Place in the Field of Climate Change
A student team from the Faculty of Computers and Information at Tanta University won first place in the field of climate change at the level of Egyptian universities in the sixth Olympiad for the Computing and Informatics Sector, with their project “Air Pollution Detecting with IoT System”. The event took place on Monday and Tuesday, July 14-15, 2024, under the title “Made in Egypt: Employing Advanced Technology to Serve Sustainable Development Goals”, at Delta University for Science and Technology and Damietta University under the patronage of Tanta University. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Tanta University. Hamdan Rabie, President of Damietta University, and Prof. Yehia El-Mashad, President of Delta University for Science and Technology.
Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, congratulated the winning student team members, including Abdulrahman Ali El-Gamal, Hazem Sameh Gouda, and Abdulaziz Ahmed El-Zahabi. He emphasized that the university gives great importance to its students, constantly working on training them and encouraging their participation in local and international competitions. He also praised the role of Tanta University. Nancy Abbas El-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty, and Tanta University. Shaimaa Hamdy Ismail, lecturer in the Department of Information Technology, for their care and supervision of the team throughout the Olympiad.
Tanta University. Mohamed Hussein, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, commended the idea of the student project in the field of climate change, lauding the students’ efforts throughout the competition. He affirmed the university’s commitment to developing the educational process and providing all forms of support to prepare graduates who are qualified for the local and international job market and capable of participating in community building.
Prof. Nancy El-Hefnawy added that the Olympiad witnessed the attendance of several Egyptian university presidents, members of the Computing and Informatics Sector Committee, and deans of faculties of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at public and private universities. The event also featured a prominent presence of computer science professors from various faculties of Computers and Artificial Intelligence. A total of 82 teams from faculties of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, representing 36 universities and institutes, competed in the event. The competition was judged by a distinguished group of computer science professors from 15 public, private, and Arab universities.
