وكان أمين سر اللجنة التنفيذية لمنظمة التحرير حسين الشيخ، قد اكد انه تم التواصل مع الإدارة الاميركية وجهات عربية من أجل الضغط على الاحتلال لتسليم جثمان أبو حميد لتكريمه الى مثواه الاخير.
وأعلن نادي الأسير امس الثلاثاء، عن استشهاد الأسير ناصر ابو حميد (50 عامًا)، في مستشفى “أساف هروفيه” الإسرائيليّ، نتيجة لجريمة الإهمال الطبيّ (القتل البطيء) التي نفّذتها إدارة سجون الاحتلال بحقّه على مدار سنوات اعتقاله، والتي تسببت بإصابته بسرطان الرئة، حتى اُستشهد اليوم.
